ARTnWORLD
is an example of a project where e-business
innovation and "Brand-Denmark"
Innovation comes together.
At this point only Copenhagen offers a
world class cultural experience with an
architectual monument involved - that
can attract spectators from all over the
world. People from all corners of the
world rush to Sydney to see Utzons masterpiece
- but why not build something outstanding
in Region Syddanmark (The Region of Southern
Denmark) as well?
"My good
friend Architect George Kurczyn was visiting
me in the summer of 2005 and we traveled
around Denmark. I wanted to tell George
about my idea about an ARTnWORLD Hotel
and Expo. We traveled to the harbour area
in Odense, since I already had my mind
set for that location. So I described
the ARTnWORLD Hotel and ARTnWORLD Expo
idea to George. After having stayed at
different hotels in Las Vegas built as
pyramids and Caesars Palaces - you just
know that you have to come up with something
new in order to compete with those world
class hotels and exibitions.

Now we will see if it wil ever be possible
to built in Odense, Denmark - if not there
must be other places around the world
- what do you think?"
Now - the concept is:
Next to the lobby area, at the ARTnWORLD
Hotel, you have the Expo area (read more
about the Expo at the ARTnWORLD
Expo page), which will attract a lot
of visitors and especially corporate visitors.
ARTnWORLD Hotel will be a display of sustainable
design and solutions. The solutions will
be integrated in the ARTnWORLD hotel environment
as a natural part of the construction
and interior. EVERY bit of the hotel will
be designed and built with sustainable
material and solutions. That goes from
soap holders, to furniture, to silverware
in the restaurant and to the art on the
walls. All installations will be powered
by renewable energy sources.
In each room there will be placed a touch
screen. On the screen the guests will
be able to order a copy of anything from
the hotel and have it shipped home. Even
the original art on the walls can be bought
and shipped while they are there.
If you cannot visit the ARTnWORLD Expo
or the ARTnWORLD Hotel at the future location
- you can simply order the designer products
online at the virtual ARTnWORLD Hotel
at the future artnworld.com.
We do not claim that this is a brand new
idea - but the combination of using the
Internet for an Expo theme service and
Design exhibition for the private and
corporate customers, has not yet been
implemented.
